As a British ex-pat in France I cycle here and back in the UK mostly around Derby. I grew up in Perthshire and as the nearest bus stop was 4 miles away from home I cycled regularly until my late twenties. After that it was mostly Sunday mornings around Derby with my sons.
Now I've retired to France I cycle two or three times a week, and when on grandparent duty the bike comes with us and I do a bit round Derby, usually limited to a couple of hours max in the UK but longer in France.
