Hi everyone,
Ive just joined the site after rekindling my love of cycling with my 13year old son has also found the same passion. So now we like to get out and about on our bikes together for a bit of father son bonding. Unfortunately at 57 and at 18.5 stone I struggle up the hills as my son leaves me standing. I do catch him up on the way down. Each ride is an improvement, so in May we are intending to ride from Hayes (London) to Brighton with a local cycling club and hopefully loose a few pounds in the process. That's our first target anyway. Its Good to be on board.

Spot on Ian, we have the first of four training rides this Sunday. Hopefully the weather will be good, and we are both looking forward to it.

Sunday's looking good for cycling weather wise... the roads however.
There's a few other Opringtonites on here including a Big Foot rider.

Before you know it your time will come. Yes its great to spend that special time together, especially when its something that you both enjoy. It brings a smile to my face when I see my son up on his pegs and sprinting ahead of me. Those feel good memories of my childhood days on my old Falcon racing bike come flooding back..................those were the days.
