My memories of Leuchars are making a fast exit on a train abandoning an Audax in 3" of snow. 😅
Greetings and welcome from a fellow Scot living among the unwashed trousers wearing heathen.

Yeah so does Alissa, just started this year as that’s where the high school is.
He’s last year of infants/ junior I’m not sure of quite how the Scottish system works. Son in laws in the Army so that’s how come they are in Leuchars.

They won the Grand Slam in 1990. I was about 7 at the time.My memory of Leuchars is passing through in an audax as the snow started to fall, we didn’t fancy our chances getting the tandem onto a train so we felt we had to carry on. We ended up seeking sanctuary in a pub in Strathmiglo where we heard that Scotland had just won the Grand Slam that year.
Edit - just googled Scotland Grand Slams, no it couldn’t have been one of those. It must have been a Calcutta Cup win, possibly 2000. Whatever, the pub provided a most welcome respite on the way back to the finish.
Hello, fae Glesca way.
The only times I have ever actually been in Leuchars (and not just passing on the train) was for the Air Shows (the last one being in 2013).
I do miss it.
