Hello from South Glasgow almost newbie

Greeting from an almost newbie from Southern suburbs of Glasgow. I say almost as it's been 30 odd years since I last cycled and now in my 40s have taken it up again to help rehab from a back injury. Got a decent hybrid from my local bike shop end last week, and have now completed my first three short rides and discovered Strava. Had the joy of my first 8% hill yesterday but think it's going to be a blast. The challenge is going to be what not to buy I think... Looks like a great inline community here and have enjoyed what I've seen so far, looking forward to being an active participant. Cheers

The windmills and the moor road are on the plan - that's the road up there in my avatar photo. Was chuffed to just get near Eaglesham in my first week of riding, although was caught out a bit by my first serious unexpected hill...

You done well: I rode up the road in your avatar to the windmills - with a few stops but walked the narrow road up to it.
Was too scared of the traffic to try it, thinking cars would want to pass with no space to spare.
