I am after a helmet cam but which is the best?
I want one that takes still picture as well as video

Look at the Drift Ghost. I have an older model and use it on the handlebars, helmet and shoulder strap of the rucksack when walking the dogs I hardly ever use video

What do you want from it.

Sufficient res to capture number plates...then a go pro or contour are...i believe...tops.

If its capturing the ride or filming kids or mates...your phone works wonders
