Is there a simple way of cleaning the straps, to remove road-grime/dirt, & obviously sweat/skin-grease
They were a light grey, now, getting towards charcoal coloured

I very occasionally dump mine in a shallow bowl of warm water with vanish washing powder in it. I scrub the straps with a nail brush then rinse.

Thanks, these might be too far gone, they've not been touched for about 4 years ('365' riding, whatever the weather)

I wash both my helmets in the shower post rides.
