HELP! I need a screw!

Don't we all

I have Speedplay Zero pedals and have managed to lose one of the small screws that attaches the plastic shim to the shoe (1 of 6). NOT the 1 of 8 that attaches the cleats.

Does anybody have a spare one??

I have been everywhere and can't find one, I can only seem to get them if I buy a complete set of cleats at 40 odd quid, which is quite a lot for one screw.

If anybody can help, please let me know, I will send an SAE.

How about your local Maplins? Sounds like it's small enough that you might find a replacement in an electronics/modelling or decent hardware shop.

Contact Speedplay directly. I've often contacted manufacturers directly for various specific bits and they've always sent them free. They usually send spares too - so if I ask for one, they end up sending two.

Thanks for replies, folks, I have e-mailed speedplay. Have also been to various bike shops and nuts and bolt shops, but to no avail. It is a countersuck M5 x 6mm or 8mm, I believe? material = metal ;-)

What does it say on the head? 8.8? A2-40?

What is the drive for the head? I'm presuming Allen key?

Go to B&Q, get a little bag of M5 bolts, chop and square one bolt to the correct length. Simples.
