Help identifying a frame.

So: best guess, Holdsworth family? The lugs on that back end of the Monsoon look more like the OP frame than mine.
@Illaveago who did the design on the seat stay? I really like that, looks like another job for my daughter!

The seat cluster does look very similar. Did Claud Butler frames have four figure frame numbers though?

Mine has 5 figures so not impossible

I've taken some more detailed photos, maybe these could provide more of a clue? The distance between the fixing holes for the head badge is 57mm which may be of use.

I think that it was possibly painted in house but I am not sure as I bought the frame second hand from Fred Baker Cycles in Bristol in the late 70's.

@garyfarrar the top of the BB with only a brazing for rear derailleur again looks v.similar to my Claud!
@Illaveago it looks a bit like the roses and castle stuff on narrowboats.

I'm not sure about Holdsworth head badge size, I imagine someone on here could answer that one. Holdsworth took over the Claud Butler brand in the 60's I believe so maybe that's a possibility.

Well since many clauds were holdswirth clones you'd think it would be logical, but businesses never seemed to work logically in them days!

It is 57mm between the hole centres on my brother's Holdsworth. It isn't half dark out there!

Try and see if I can match it to something on the old C.B or Holdsworth catalogues. Not sure I have the patience though.
