Help me choose between these two bikes...

I'm looking at spending £1000 on my upgrade. I think I've managed to whittle my choice down to these two women's bikes
Trek Lexa SLX or Cannondale Synapse 5 Which would be the better bike?

But I am still open to other choices on bikes if anyone has one

From a quick google search they seem to be comparable specs, so go with whatever one feels the best when you ride it. Both look to be good bikes - cannondale in particular are noted for having excellent aluminium frames.

Have you had a look at the Boardman range? The Fi Road Comp is currently on sale £750 which seems really good value.
