There were a couple of interviews with a Vietnam War veteran called John Hugh O'Connor which I found fascinating. They used to be posted on YouTube, but recently they were removed for unknown reasons. By searching on Google, I found them still available on the Utah Gun Exchange website. I'm not in the least bit interested in the website itself, but I would like to save a copy of both the interviews on my hard disk so that I still have them if they get taken down. If somebody can tell me how to, I would be very grateful.

These are the interviews....

Just tried the above using Chrome Browser and it works, you only have to copy from HTTPs to MP4, then paste that into your address bar, then you can right click on the video and save it.

@slowmotion try right click, an option to download should appear.
If you use a touch screen, try pausing the video, then pressing on the screen, a down arrow for download should appear.

Hello Pat. I'm afraid nothing like that appears when I use IE or Firefox. I've now got the magic word "Embedded" to search for on Google and I've found a few potentially useful clips so I'll report back when I've got two screens to work from, one for the instructions and one for the patient.

I use Firefox and there's an add-on called YouTube Video and Audio Downloader. It downloads a video with a simple click.

Thanks. Does that work with stuff that isn't on YouTube? All John Hugh O'Connor's clips were removed from YT, hence my wish to save them from one of the few sites that still have them.

I don't know because I have never tried it anywhere else. I'll check and see... back later...
