I decided to get some new mud guards for my push bike,
I've taken off my front wheel,
Which is a quick release,
I've put the front wheel back on,
I've tried to adjust the wheel,
It's in the right place,
But,
The quick release is only tightening up,
And now I can't get the wheel off,
Is there a way to unloosen the quick release?

Yep..................brute force.
What it sounds like you've done is inadvertently turned the QR lever on the skewer thus adjusting it to be too tight...............plenty you tube vids on adjusting the QR lever tension

Did you make the mistake of tightening the qr lever against the seat or chain stays? If you can't release by hand, then you'll need something to get between the lever and stay.

Best to tighten the lever away from the two stays.

Hope you solve it.

Hold the lever and turn the nut on the opposite side counter-clockwise. It overtightened. Loosen the nut a few turns, then the lever should open normally.

The OP only joined yesterday, posted this thread and stayed for 9 minutes. Hope you come back and see the replies and give us all feedback

Quick release and quick exit.
