Does anyone know where I can get replacement headset bearings for my Dawes Super Galaxy 2003 threaded Deore LX Headset?

I have found these but I'm not sure if they are the correct ones (I know where to get them but are they correct?)

HP-M563 cartridge bearing 1 inch at

and HP-M564 cartridge bearing 1-1 / 8 inch at

thanks
in advance.

I tired Spa Cycles but they sent me bearings for a HP-MC31 headset.

cheers

Threaded are 1", threadless 1 1/8" so you need 1" Saying that, there are 1 1/8" threaded headsets but they are rare!

Have you tried contacting Dawes?

I am not getting a result from the first link but I am fairly ceratin thats the bearing you want.

Having said that I wouldn't pay £24.99 as you can get an equally good STX-RC/105 threaded headset for that money if you can find one still in stock at an LBS. Trying a bearing supplier would drop the bill to £8 for just the bearings if they have the right ones.

1 1/8" threaded headsets were briefly made by Tioga and were known as an "Avenger" headset, I actually quite like them for their simplicity and how long they last, I have seen few that are not rescuable.
