No, not on her bike.Yes - that's what I was wondering. No quick release on your friend's bike?

I was prepared. I had patches, a spare tube, a pump, and tyre levers. Even with that preparation, I still had to call for a ride. It seems that yesterday's London to Cambridge ride in the pouring rain killed my Topeak race rocket. When I got a puncture, I spent half an hour trying to get some air into the tyre, but it won't budge.
If I had to I would flag down another cyclist - or several
Actually did this for a friend, I did not have the right spanner for her bike: 2 cyclists later we had the right spanner, we fixed the flat![]()
The problem is that, in Cambridge, 75% of cyclists don't have a pump. When that happened to me, in the depth of winter, I flagged down the first cyclist I saw and ten minutes later I was on my way.
Nowt wrong with old school, but also hub gear? That's a bit old school isn't it? Track nuts?![]()
Was supposed to have done the London Cambridge on a tandem with my grandaughter, But her mum would not let her do it in the rain, She is only 10 years old, And mum is always right, This was my 3rd go at it but never been able to push hard the whole way, My other half could not ride it because she has a broken collar bone, So it was down to a freind and myself to go for it.
Front wheel?Sorry, don't get that

Me too I have a couple of bikes still with ... erm ... nuts
My trailer hitch is not suitable for quick release, wouldn't be able to use it.
