Arch, NO idea how he came out...I was sealed off by a curtain, even though I asked if I could watch!! He came out shouting, I'll tell you that!!

I'm not surprised might be a bit wierd seeing yourself cut open.... I wondered if he had his arms up and hence the difficulty getting him out... the normal route.

Birth must be a bit wierd/traumatic for the baby - no wonder we don't remember it. I wonder how long a baby remembers it, if at all.

Now the fun really starts. If Oli is anything to go by, he'll change every day, and before you know it he'll be a little boy instead of a baby. Take loads of photos.

Congratulations, Cathryn, a bonny lad you have there (and Mum looks fine too!).

My sister had four 'C's, three of the babies survived and are now grown-up and perfectly healthy. She's not an avid cyclist but I'm sure she was able to keep up cycling, and she's still (late 50s) a fit and active walker. Fitter than I am, in fact.

As others have commented, you look well. My wife did a birthday party at the church hall 4 days after she gave birth, her friends were a little miffed that she was in her pre-pregnancy clothes too

I have no doubt that you'll be asleep by the time I type this, but well done anyway.

The curtains are a good idea, trust me. I managed to get the other side of them when the twins were born, and formed the opinion that Mrs Cube looks better from the outside.

Arthur looks a very handsome little chap. You'll be able to gloat that his head is a better shape than all the natural births you'll meet in the very near future! (And you look fab considering the sort of day you've had!!)
