As ever, The Voice of Reason. They should both have their licences shredded. One person behaving like a dangerous twonk in no way excuses a second person from doing so. They're both a danger to themselves, and to other road users.

you seem to think i care?? Try looking at the vid..go figure
I'm sitting here caring right now. So, count me inWell I think we should all care that you think the HGV driver's actions were acceptable.

I maintain that the footage he wanted was the spectacular blues and twos of the police shooting past him to pull over the lorry on the motorway*, which he ordered from 3 different forces in 6 phone calls**.A predictable situation exploited for his own benefit.

From his "career history" on the above website:This guy uses his own footage to promote sales on his own website. I thought he was laying it on a bit thick.

I am trying to work out a way how I could do this with a helmet cam.
So the guy is no stranger to using a bit of controversy as a sales tool, and would do it again "in a heartbeat". Hmmmm.....Most Memorable Controversial Decision:
In 2009 I took the decision to take our brand to new heights with the release of a new advertising campaign, the slogan “Oven Pride...so easy a man can do it!” There was uproar! Sales more than doubled as customers commented on the funny, yet sometimes realistic portrayal of an average co-hab couple. Nearly 600 complaints (nearly all male) were made to the Advertising Standards Authority, luckily none were upheld and we were allowed to continue. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat! Sales doubled overnight.
A bit like the lorry- merely tried to swerve (unsuccessfully).

This driver is the motoring equivalent of trafficdroid.
Going out and deliberately looking for something to film.
Any normal driver would have pulled onto the hard shoulder and stopped, not carried on.

*because pulling a lorry to the side of a motorway could never lead to a bad outcome.
**The local police are as poor at delivering what you ordered as Canyon![]()
Whether he has or not, there was no excuse at all for the lorry driver's actions. The TCs should have his license.
Will he?and it seems that he will rightly have to face the consequences.
Perhaps the lorry driver's entry onto the roundabout was a bit lane stradding but I see no fault in his driving. He even moved over to the left to avoid running the video driver ignoring the road marking off the road and as soon the other lane was clear he indicated that he was moving into that lane. No fault to the trucker, in my opinion. It isn't the first time Stockdale has tried to get publicity for his business by posting incidents which he has created by his own appalling driving. See here.
Will he?
I wasn't criticising the lorry driver! Stockdale is the car driver, who seems to go out of his way to get video which he thinks will boost his business selling dashcams, without apparently realising that his driving may be subject to scrutiny.Perhaps the lorry driver's entry onto the roundabout was a bit lane stradding but I see no fault in his driving.
