Hi- Triban 3 owners?

I would have bought the 60 cm online, but the 63cm felt good in the store and the assistant said it was fine for me, hope he was right! It is nice to lift one down and take it for a spin in the aisles.

Both my husband and I have purchased the T3. He has been fine with his from the word go, I have had a few issues mostly with the brakes and my ability to use them (I have a dodgy left wrist to add to the dodgy left leg I acquire at the beginning of this year). I ended up fitting different brake blocks and cyclo-cross levers to my T3 which has helped considerably and both of us have pannier racks on it for commuting. We purchased them for the sole reason of not wanting to have to worry about where they were locked up - for him at work on an unsecure site, and for me at college. We have had to change the tyres after his rear perished at around 750 miles of use, but otherwise they have been good cheap bikes and do what we need.
How long they will last is another matter; we tend to put quite a few miles on them each week, use them regardless of the weather and live down a single track road which is covered in mud, so mudguards, for us, are essential, though the bikes still need washing down each and everytime we do the track. We have not regretted getting them.

Thank you for this information, it has reassured me that I am making the right choice ^_^

Louise just back from my first ride with T3, it's seems much much quicker (no speedo fitted yet) and surprisingly comfortable over the 8 mile ride. I think my front derailer is not set up properly otherwise excellent.

Just trawling the youtube " how to adjust" videos or I might just take it back to the store Monday to be sure/safe!

Hi Louise, welcome....
I bought a triban 3 back in may and have done close to 1000miles on it. being a novice myself i have nothing to compare it to but i really enjoy riding it, i've changed a couple of bits through choice rather than need, (longer seat post coz im a giant, brake calipers because a mate upgraded his and his were surplus £5 for soras with tiagra blocks couldnt resist, and then i raised the bars becasue of having the seat so high)

Anyway ive had 0 problems with it apart from spokes breaking, again im a giant and weigh 20st so dont let that put you off.
I find it comfortable fast amd fun, you'll find the steering initially weird as its more responsive than a hybrid but this is normal. I'm told its one of the top selling bikes about and every sportive ive done this year has had 2-3 people also riding it.
I like it so much i brought my brother one. it is the perfect road starter.
