Actually, I'm quite good at convincing myself that if i spend just a bit more for a more expensive item, it will be justified by the fact that it will last longer and function better than a similar (and very often just as suitable) but cheaper item.
And......if i can just stretch to the slightly even more expensive item, the difference in price is'nt really that much!!!!!!......Oh dear, i blew the budget again

To be fair this behaviour usually only manifests when it comes to hobbies that involve 2 or 4 wheels.
Seriously though, as per my original post, it is nice when having payed a bit more for what you hope will be worth paying extra for, you then find out that it actually was.
(New bike stand is set up in middle of the lounge as i write and making servicing the bikes even more enjoyable
