Not just those. The A35 trunk road in the New Forest completely severs a rather pleasant lane that would make part of a nice circuit. But there’s no way across. I look at it when planning some cycle loops for myself and my wife. I gave up on them and we didn't take bikes in the end. Just walking in forest instead.
The A35 isn't a trunk road in the New Forest - the very definition of a trunk road is those managed by Highways England. The A31 (begat by the M27) is the trunk road. The A35 in the forest isn't even a primary route. Not the most pleasant road in the world, but I found it quite rideable Christchurch-Southampton.

I suspect you meant the A31. I once did the four lane section (yes, 70 mph) of that road eastbound into Ringwood - it was that, the "cyclists dismount/no cycling" shared use path, an unpaved trail on GP5Ks, or a multi-mile detour. Trick was that the left two lanes were for the A338/Ringwood, so actually most of the traffic was about 6m away! :becool:
