Personally I'd say shop him.

The way I see it next time it might not be me he hits, it might be my wife and 4 month old son. Drink driving is not acceptable AT ALL. However it's worth noting at this point that whether he had had a drink or not is all pure speculation. Glad it was only the wheel that was damaged.

TBH i cant be bothered. I'm not a vindictive bloke. He was OK gave me £100 i'm quids in.

It's terrible isn't it, but I feel suspicious of someone that says sorry straight away and hands over cash. What is he scared of/hiding!!!!??? Ha!
