I was always good at holding my breath. Hadn't done it in years till this thread intrigued me, and I thought I wonder if I can still do it after losing 2/3 of a lung. 2.20. Guess I'm still good at holding my breath.

When I was 16, In could swim the length of Leeds Olympic Pool underwater (from a dive in). I don't think I could manage half a 25m pool now. I like air too much.

Hyperventilate befire hand until you are almost dizzy. I can mange nearly 3 minutes this way.

Once upon a time mankind brought into existence an amazing communications net that spanned the globe giving everybody, everywhere (well almost) access to information on every subject known to man. True democracy - no longer was knowledge locked in the treasure chest of the rich and powerful. Now the whole social pyramid could engage, dream, aspire and achieve!

Good to see it working so well in practice. :laugh:
