Apparently tourism is suffering in Cyprus due to the military action in the Middle East (and since there was a drone strike somewhere in Cyprus) so you should find it quiet (but more expensive).

I tried to book a hotel right on the beach at Paphos going back some years. Cant recall why we didnt go ahead with it. It looks fabulous......enjoy.

I can't remember if I've posted in here or not, driving to our house on Lake Como on the 25th of June for three weeks, both taking laptops etc so will be "working from home" and the pooch is coming on her first foreign trip. A quick overnight at a château in Saint Dizier then onwards to Italy!
Taking the bike and some decorating supplies as the local B&Q is a 90 minute round trip.

Anyone used the Routefifty7 bike hire shop in Shanklin, on the IOW?

Their prices aren't as good as Longleat Center Parcs, but I might hire something (probably an ebike) for part of our upcoming break. Even though it's not far from where we live, it will be our first return there in ~20 years and this time it will be via three short train journeys and a ferry each way... Hence I really cannot be doing with the hassle of taking my own bike!

It would mean I could finally get around to doing the ~2 mile ~10% average climb from Ventnor esplanade to the top of Down Lane near Wroxall, one of a number of climbs from my '17-'22 list that never happened before the unexpected plummet in my health.

It might also give me some food for thought about maybe trying the rescheduled IOW Randonnee on the first Sunday of September, which would have to be an ebike effort if trying the long circuit.

We'd held off booking summer hols abroad, anticipating high prices.
But we just booked a 4 day break in Seville next month which was pretty cheap.
I also booked a trip to Nice in August to take my bike to see the Vuelta start. Not so cheap.

Still not booked anything yet, was going to do a late booked camping trip this week but then saw the temperatures .

Will keep an eye out as the campsite we are looking it is rarely booked up and we would prefer to get a week in before the school hols kick in.

I was going to go to Senegal in November...7 nights 4/5* all inclusive, guaranteed sunshine and 30 deg temps for about £1200pp (through TUI) and only around 6 hour flight from London.
