We're off skiing it Italy on the 1st of Feb, probably the only week we'll have this season as it's been a heavy year with several trips and some large scale DIY to top it all off.
TBH I was expecting "not" to go given everything we've spent but we managed to get a decent deal.

Got a week to fill in feebruary. Would like somewhere warmer for 3/4 nights. Any recommendations?

We're hoping to go to Japan in early April next year, on one of those escorted tours for three weeks. Anyone done that?

I'm not that keen on unpacking/packing every two or three days but it's one of my wife's dream destinations, so I'll go along with it.

We did similar two years ago. Tokyo, Matsumoto, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Mt Fuji etc

Very enjoyable. Lovely clean country. Lovely people.

My only complaint, which may have been our tour company, was that everywhere we went gave us the same “traditional Japanese banquet” and I soon became fed up of raw fish. Oh, and many of the restaurants closed for lunch. 🤨

Our itinerary is Tokyo, Takayama, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Miyajima Island, and Nara.

Which company did you use?

Oh! I hurt for you.
My wife would love that. I spent 30 years with 250 days on the road.
Business or First, I did both, does not make it worthwhile.
My pleasure is sitting in the square, with a nice drink and watching the world go by. Day 4I start to know the dynamics.

Not quite sure I follow you, Gwylan. (Although that might be the coffee stout and rum & cokes affecting my brain!)

Did you spend 30 years in Japan?

Are you advising against upgrading the flights?
