Just on our way back from a week in Fuerteventura, top tips be prepared for queues either coming in and/or going back out . The new EU passport entry system is fugging mare .

Well having been told we are not having a proper holiday this year,Mrs P has told me today she is planning nine days in piggin Switzerland i tell you in 2027.Based in one spot with excursions out including two train journeys.I love trains.My word Switzerland,now let's see if i can keep fit and well.Going to practise my yodelling,and buying that Swiss chocolate,just to see if i like it.Right Accy what should a British Gentleman wear in Switzerland on his European tour,you being our fashion guru,i cannot go to in my Sports Direct ot Primari polo shirts,not posh enough.

Bl**dy expensive. If you get the weather right it's great but if it rains .....

Have cycled from Lausanne over to Aosta just over the border. When I found out the cost, I had to cycle faster.

I remember going in to a bank to change some travellers cheques in the early 1980’s I think I changed about £30. I got some shrapnel in exchange.

Is that a new system?

Yes - the new EES system, but as an EU citizen, you don't need to worry about it.

All non-EU citzens need to register on first entry to the Schengen zone after it is brought in, with it taking a photo and fingerprints, matched wth passport.

It is being brought in piecemeal, in theory all supposed to be operational by the end of April, but at busy airports it is still often being turned off.

I had to register with it at Salzburg early last month, but it didn't take long.
