These photos were taken less than 48hrs ago about a mile from my house. Hope I spot it myself.

Do any of you folks have your own local wildlife oddities, or have seen anything strange like this?

There used to be a Wallaby sanctuary on one of the islands in Loch Lomond.

No idea if they are still there though.

About a week ago some horse riders spotted it up even closer to my gaff, but their photos weren't so good. Until a few years ago there was some kind of exotic collection about 10 miles from here, so speculation is its an esacpee.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
A zoo near borth was shutting down and they were trying to re locate some animals. They had wallabys. 2 or three kinds. My sons partner took some in. She had them for around 3 years, then let them go to another person who was a small holder. it was odd to see wallabys in Snowdonia national park. To be honest they were rather boring animals. They didn't do anything, just ate and slept and well errr hopped about a bit.

It looks like an albino wallaby. I saw a grey one at The Roaches once.

What sauce for wallaby steak?

i have a big book of British Mammals which includes Wallabies - a few hundred of them descended from escapees fro Whipsnade I recall. Each animal is sumarised under various headings: size, weight etc, and "easily confused with" which says "the wallaby cannot conceivably be confused with any other creature" The book is British mammals remember
