Finished work this morning at 9am and after cycling home on this beautiful morning decided today I was going to do the Horseshoe pass

I'm finding hills much easier obviously with the cube's triple ring, so was pretty confident I'd do well and walk a few bits.
I took the easier route up from Cefn-y-bedd to Coedpoeth, Bwlchgwyn, Llandegla, then up to the Ponderosa cafe. Didn't walk any of it and stayed on the bike until after the cafe. I was blowing through my arse, but I did it

Blast down to Llangollen and home along the Dee Valley.
Really enjoyed myself, just a shame the Bridge end in Ruabon was closed for a celebratory real ale

Seemed to miss out on the good weather last week so grabbed this chance with both hands.

Legs are sore now, but I kind of like that feeling now

Nice one and well done on not stopping, it must feel like you have passed a milestone.

I went on my first ride of the season yesterday as it was lovely in Denmark.

I would say it was an easy 30 miler, but first ride 30 milers are not easy for old, fat geezers like me. It makes it harder as the sun is going down 5 miles from the end. Jeeze, it gets cold quickly once that sun goes.

But it was nice to be out and blowing off the cobwebs at last.

Its not really on my way home, just a little 35mile detour

I'm still on high, pitty the weather crap today, but the bike maintence got sorted
