While ive achieved what I set out to do today, ie box in the pipes behind the toilet downstairs...ive not.made a very good job of it, woodwork never was my forte. I brought the wrong width board with hindsight
Meh, it'll do for now, wasnt too expensive so I will revisit at the first opportunity. At least I will have a template to speed the whole thing up next time.

Rewired the garage electrics, the power came into a double socket with the lights spurred off. Fitted a consumer unit, single socket for the freezer, four double sockets internally on a separate circuit and the outdoor socket isolated yet again.

Then built a frame for the freezer to sit on as Mrs C refuses to countenance the floor and set it on it. Then plugged in and tested it only to find out it's a fridge not a freezer and Mrs C got it horribly wrong when she collected it.

Now have no freezer and an unwanted fridge. Trying to rectify the former now.

No1 daughter sent me a pic of the tin of Johnston's Bathroom paint..
She's had it for a while (stored indoors) and thinks there's something wrong with it!

Been painting soffits with a 7m big stick. Washed with said stick and brush a few weeks ago, then sanded this am, then painted... hard work.

MrsF said 'we' need to repaint them. It's the Royal 'we' - you need to do it. No way do I go up ladders these days given my accident records. I also no longer do 'heights'.

To be fair, they do look very similar.

Is it water based? Might be resurrectable (sp?) with a splash and a stir.

Nor home diy but I've been building stables today 56 linear feet of cladding put down. 40ft or so to go.

I think it's water-based. I've suggested contacting their customer helpline to see what they say.
Might even get a free tin out of them 👍

If it was me, I would Just foot the bill and get plastic soffits and eaves fitted and while you are at it, dry verge ridging, you’ll never have to think about it for years to come; at least in my experience.

Such a small thing (panelling pipes in) but so many steps to do it
