I understand that cat and dog food is ‘tasted’ by humans.

My uncle used to be a quality control officer for Pedigree pet foods. He always said that their kitchens were far cleaner than any he'd worked in producing human food. He also said that there was nothing in pet food that would cause you any harm. Still can't imagine it would taste very nice.

The cat we were left to look after left a foot long trail of poop in the kitchen for us the other morning. Your right, the smell was horrific.

It's times that I look after other people's pets that I'm reminded why I don't want pets.

The smell of cat food is awful.

I am 99.9% certain we once got served cat food at a farm I worked at. Tasted ok but afterwards we noticed the tins which were stored on a shelf in the kitchen had vanished. They were free samples from somewhere as nobody bought cat food in those days and certainly not for farm cats.
