Looks like a cob to me, but I'm no expert (she is in bed ) AFAIK Cobs can be any colour, 'we' have a Dunn & white cob.

Nah, it's nailed to a large block of concrete which has been painted green.

Well don't think it's that young as it is shod up but is possibly driven rather than ridden so they do start them younger. Dales or Fells in there? Very heavy though like you say.

I think there are various versions of Irish cob gypsy vanners and this looks like a gypsy vanner to me
