On my account it used to be that I could tick a box to keep me signed in...........that meant that, on my computer I didn't need to keep typing my password in.
Suddenly that option has disappeared so that I must type the password in each time.
It's not a major problem.......just a nuisance, especially as Hotmail has a terrible habit of deciding my password is incorrect (when I know its not) and forcing me to go through the rigmarole of changing & remembering a new one.
So..............
is there a way to get round this ?

Write your new password down. Saves on the little grey cells :okay:

Don't use Hotmail here. It used to have a reputation for easily hacked. Has that changed?

Most browsers have an option to remember passwords. Clear your cookies for hotmail and try again through chrome

Not a hotmail user so don't know for sure...or as someone says, write it down, stick as a note in your phone or similar

How do you access hotmail?
You said computer, but what OS does it have Windows 8/10 ?
Do you access it with your smart phone as well?
I can access it via my phone no problem.........it goes straight in.
I am on windows 10 (new computer) and a friend told me today that he has the same problem with windows 10............don't know if that is the problem.

In windows 10, you do not need to sign in to E mail account. It works like in the phone. But you have to sign in to windows 10 with your hotmail or Microsoft account.
So log in to your windows 10 account with your Microsoft account, meaning hotmail account.
Now find your E mail app from the app list. You can do that by pressing start button.
You can see envelop or E mail icon. Just click on that. You are in.

You don't need a hotmail or Microsoft account to use Windows 10. In fact you don't need to have a password on an account.
