Fast and careful!
4 punctures in the last 3 days I must be getting as quick as lightning,I do a quick tube change, do carry the pre glued patches and tube but never find the leak road side ,with quick release wheels and brake release what could be easier:highfive:

I tried to fix an innertube once. It resulted in a lot of clue on my self, little on the tube, patch in the wrong place and an asbo for aggressive behavior and language in the street.

I'm surprised by this as well, I've been repairing punctures since I was about 8 years old, as a kid out on our bikes around the local woods we would expect a puncture a day, I'm sure we could all repair them ourselves at a young age.

+ for a set of good tubes in a bag on your person to swap out and then repair at home i have 6/7 tubes spare so carry 2 on commute fix the ones needing it at the weekends +1 thou for the park tools self glued ones work a treat!

I carry spare tubes, and if I get a puncture, I fit one of the spares, but I take the punctured tube home with me and repair it with an old fashioned puncture repair kit, and re-use the tube, with no problems!

I just found the guaranteed way of getting a puncture. Having commuted over 100 miles/week for four years on the same Schwalbe Marathons this morning for the first time I left my pump at home having taken it off to clean the bike.

Cue squishy feeling from rear tyre as I go across London Bridge...

Because they have seen me so well I do not propose to patch but will replace both tyre and tube.

Thanks. I work very close to the Evans on Farringdon Rd so have it sorted - or at least I will do this pm.

And we all know about the Scousers, who will remove a set of wheels within 3 seconds (and that is from an 18 wheel Artic)
