It's spring loaded?

Fair enough, in which case the roller pressure should be fairly constant then, I guess. I have Tacx and Minoura turbos at home and both have screw adjusters to alter roller pressure. The only other variable in that case would be tyre pressure.

Yes, forgot to add, keep pressure constant and if you change the tyre do another speed test,
All my info came from the "club ace" who was coached and did use power, but the same approach can be used using speed, obviously it can take a few practices to get a 20 minute speed test right, the tendency I found was to go too hard too quick and then run out of steam and die towards the end. You have to give it everything though to be able to use that result to good effect.

You can get a decent single sided system for just over £400 new with warranty. Reviewed by DC Rainmaker and liked. They have been out for a year or so with no major issues reported.

Personal experience from powermeter 24 is they will take your money without having the item in stock and then lie to you saying it takes longer to get to GB . Once you ask for the money back they will ignore you all together . Luckily i paid with paypal so got my money back after a month but i know of another person who bought at the same time that decided to wait it out . No idea if he ever got his power meter .
I ended up getting a stages ultegra from sigma sport for £520 .

Just a thought on this power thing, my turbo has had a power readout for over 24 years, they were ahead of their time then I would imagine.

Cateye CS-1000, I am on my second one it is only 20 years old and still going strong, good enough for Sir Chris so certainly good enough for me. The first one went to my eldest and his wife they battered it into submission after about 15 years.

My personal experience was rather different to yours then. Took three days to arrive from Germany, tracked and delivered by DPD. Great communication, spoke to a German guy on the phone who spoke perfect English to clarify a couple of things, everything he said happened and I was updated by email throughout the process.

Cleats come with the product. Only challenge is using Keo cleats on other bikes then.

Haven't committed yet, but it's another point to think.
