Will do nothing for the smell directly. It'll make sure you clean all the microwave, though. Maybe even have to dismantle it.




Seriously: don't do it.

My best advice is either:
1 Cook some smoked fish in it, or,
2. Heat up a Patak's curry sauce in it.

If really desperate heat up a smoked fish curry as a last resort.

Put foil covered jacket potato in it and switch it on max for 10 mins. It will smell of ozone after that.

We take the turntable out and wash after every use, and wipe down if needed. Keeps it ok. It's 20 years old and still reasonable, if a little tatty.

Ours is quite new as we wanted a smaller microwave rather than the combination oven thingy. It does get a wipe roubd quite regularly..

I've done the boiled lemon ploy and it seems to have done the trick! 🍋
