Surely it's a yesterday business and will go the same way as Woolworths?

All the stationary stuff is in Poundland, the chocolate less than half the cost there too. When I am thirsty I am not so thirsty that I need 2 bottles of pop, so I don't buy that there either. It seems to exist on having minority mags on the shelf, how long "Badger Weekly" can keep them going is anybody's guess.

Their carpets are spectacularly good at attracting chewing gum though, they should patent them and sell them to councils to be dragged through retail precincts.

Didn't they have any jazz mags?

It feels as if I'm never out of the place. I've bought an A6 spiral bound notebook there every year for the past thirteen to use as a cycle tour diary. I'd be devastated if WHS disappeared off the High Street, these notebooks fit perfectly into a doocot in my bureau.

Can you give us the figures to support that assertion?
I was wrong. It's high street making the most. I thought it was travel services(comes second). As for statistics look at the company's published interim reviews. Good thing I said "seems".

A retraction from another 'never let the facts get in the way of a grand assertion'?
I can guarantee you didn't have the slightest nor the knowledge to counter any bs I might have sprung.
