It'll be 5k and a bit again- thought it would have been higher but Other Things got in the way. Did a week of cycle commuting (40 miles a day) though…
…and last night/this morning took it past the 5k mark. After the last week of work, I'll be back on the bike as often as usual & should beat the 5.1k from last year.

Didn't set myself a target but I still fell well short

I'm nothing if not consistant!

On my last commute of the year tonight so when I get home in the morning and park the bike up (potentially the last ride of the year!) I will have clocked 3763 miles for the year. Last year was 3668, remarkably similar considering that was trying to do 10 miles a day while this year has just been allowed to happen but I did start the year intending to do less (and failed miserably).

Nearly there @potsy

Just two more commutes and you'll nail it!

Not a target as such, but I expected to do about 3500 miles this year, as per the previous 5 years or so.
I'm not sure what my current mileage is, and won't know until I check the final miles on each of 4 bikes on hogmanay.
I don't record all my rides on Strava, which is sitting at 2700 miles. I can probably add a few hundred onto that, so about 3k miles for this year. Not helped by the wettest, windiest, most miserable summer in living memory; and that's official! Wettest since 1938, apparently.

I've somehow managed to top 4000 miles for the first time here. Helped by a (brilliant) solo mini tour of NL and Belgium in the summer as well as finally understanding a very weird muscle condition that has plagued me for years, where any more than 2 or 3 days rest from cycling gives me terrible quad pain, leaving me almost unable to even walk.
So, what better excuse than just to keep on riding?!

Time you enjoyed wasting was not wasted
I had a good ride today which I thought took me to within 15 miles of 4,000 for the year, but then I looked at the figures I had recorded for each bike and realised that I had made a few mistakes in my arithmetic. It turns out that today's ride actually took me up to 4,005. So, the good news is I have reached, and passed my target, the bad news is that I now know I can't add up very well without a calculator and that I realise I must have an obsessive personality and need to get a life instead of spending 3 hours going through all my rides and checking the figures when I could have been relaxing in front of the TV :banghead:
