According to my Garmin, I managed 7,612mph last week going UP Brixton Hill.

This must be why I ended up in 1854

I fear, alas, madam's cycle speed indication contraption might have some moisture issues? Have you been out in the rain again?

I touched 50mph coming down the Tourmalet, hit some scree and the rear wheel fishtailed, I stayed upright but had to burn those shorts.

Have bettered my previous of 43.5mph twice in one week. First I got 44.4, and today I hit 48.1. The app i was using actually recorded a 58mph, but I've since realised that this was when I dropped my phone whilst trying to pause the app when I stopped

Apart from the guys at work who like to tease me I've never been asked how fast I can go.
My fastest down hill speed is 29mph, I start to brake if I go too fast. I do like a speedy downhill, but I get scared about what might be coming round the corner.
I've only ever managed to get up to 19mph on the flat, and not for very long!

Thats slow I managed 26,664 the other week

Seriously the most I've averaged is 47.6mph, down a perfectly smooth and dry road in Scotland Yes they do exist you just have to go to Arran to find them.

Set the speed cameras off, 50mph limit, on the A629 from Ainley Top into Elland on a Brox. Two lanes of cars behind & no-one passing for around a mile.
Mind you the trip up was slower, a lot slower.

There's a speed display on a flat road entering a village near us which encourages drivers to slow to 30... I got it to display 24 a couple of weeks ago... aiming for 30 one day.

On commute to work I regularly achieve 65km/Hr (40mph) down into Wadesmill. The fastest ever was on London to Brighton 82km/Hr (51mph) on the run down Coldean Lane into Brighton after Ditchling Beacon.
