How has 'results day' been in your house?

G.C.S.E's and A Levels mean nothing. I've lied on my CV for the last 10 years no one has checked them, B in Maths yeah right, I can't even count to B!

Neice has got into Dundee... 37 years after MrsA_T and I started.
She was supposed to go to Newcastle to do Medecine, I was supposed to go to Nottingham but discovered motorbikes and working for real money so got into Dundee through Clearing, best thing I ever did as I would have been extremely lucky to have met MrsA_T otherwise... but you never know!

Life's how you deal with stuff so any parents who are coping with their children's distress, tell them it all works out, better than they could ever imagine.

My grandaughter got her exam results this morning. She took 14 exams and got A stars A's and B's in all of them including french, english, maths, science. She will be going to a 6th form at a dfferent school, because the one she is at doesn't do the A level courses that she wants and needs. I'm very proud of her.

I'm so glad Accy youngster got b's and c's. I promised her 500 quid if she got 2 a's.

Results day number 2 in our house. Youngest son got 8 As, 4 Bs and a C. Off to 6th form to do Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Music in September. Well done son!

Youngest daughter results today. 10 GCSEs and 10 c or above. Missed out on an A in maths which she was hoping for but struggles in English and English lit and they were better than expected. So all happy and she has gone off to Reading festival.

Still not quite sure on the A levels subjects but that will be firmed up now the results are here.
Here in Hampshire we have all separate sixth form colleges which are much more like uni than school so she is pleased to be moving on from school now.

The way my sons school does the gcse's is they take 1 exam from their options in year 3 and again in year 4, then the rest in year 5. My lad sat his gcse in resistant materials and got a C. Considering he's one of the youngest in his year and was still 13 when he sat the exam I'm very proud of him.

Cubester got 10 at c or above and Cubette 8. Cubester's A* in Sports Studies was his proudest achievement, and Cubette surpassed all expectations. They're off at Leeds Fest now, a treat from us for all the hard work they put in.
