I’ve had relationships with a few old bikes!

Yes I've had a few preloved ones in my time too.

This one is totally.box fresh

Id be boasting to my mates straight after the first snog.

I did have to take it round a mates to show off.. Gratifying impressed..
So light

Will your other bikes find out? You might come home to find your pet rabbit in a saucepan.

I'm keeping the new one, in a separate part of the building right now.
It does feel like some kind of betrayal

Last time I bought a bike I blogged about riding it back from Amsterdam to Stuttgart, but I don't think that counts, because it is my blog and it's not like anyone actually reads it.

Still, at least my mum knows what I'm doing...

That's the great thing about blogs.. They're like the reverse of having a secret diary.

It's totally public, but no one reads it.

Except yr mum.

You have to remember that sometimes, if you are feeling a bit foul mouthed

Mine arrived when I was on holiday my neighbour kindly did some baby sitting for me for 3 days. So my bike kind of went public all of it's own.

3 whole days!!!

I hope bike didn't do primary bonding with your neighbour.

You don't find it mysteriously veering off in that direction, when setting out ?

No the bike know's when it's on to a good thing but give it a good old fettle regularly to help remind it just in case.

OK, Needs a bit of a tweak for comfort here and there, and a decent lock, new front panniers etc.

But I think I'm a little bit in love.

A long 4-6 hour ride usually gives me a good idea if the bike is a keeper or not.

Yes probably very sensible.

I've only done 3 hrs - and I'm already a smitten kitten,

maybe i should bunk off work today - and go out riding instead - just to make sure like
