How long have you been in your current job?

I'm coming up for ten years this October! Time for a change maybe? Whilst I love my job, and the lifestyle I can't help thinking that ten years is way too long! What would be your limit - even if you enjoyed your job?

I've been with my current company for 24 years - although I've done lots of different roles during that time.

The longest time in a job.
I have now been in the same type of business for 30 years (Music Biz)

24 years with my last Department, just over a year in this one. Most of the time I've worked in IT but spent 2 years managing vaccines for children and 6 months writing health policy

Self-employed 25 years ( apart from a brief moment of madness when the lure of holiday and sick pay and a regular 9 to 5 work schedule proved momentarily to be too irresistible).

From leaving school I did 20 odd years in my first job (until the boss retired) and I'm coming up on six years in the current one (but using my spare time to work towards full-time self employment!). Finished on a Friday and started the new job the following Monday.

All computer / I.T. related - which comes in handy for things like keeping CC running ...

3 1/2 months, few more months and start looking for a better paid job.
