How long should i wait?

Ordered a Giant Defy 3 2011 from Ash Cycles size small at a great price, only to be contacted to say they didn't have it anymore as they're stock suggested, they enquired if i could take an alternative? i opted for the Defy 4 2012 instead but i had to wait a week for Ash cycles to get it in. I was then contacted by the courier giving tracking No. notifying me the bike should arrive the next day, i took the next day off work, no bike arrived nor the next day. After numerous calls & e-mails i was told it got Lost? in transport. Ash then made arrangements for another replacement bike to come to their premises 6 days ago, they said i was likely to receive the bike yesterday but that hasn't happened of yet.
21 days ago i started this process off, i think i've been overly patient but getting to the point where enough is enough give me a refund. Any one else had to endure this from online stores and how long should i wait?

TBH I'd get a refund and go elsewhere. Even if the bike turns up this afternoon how much faith would you have in them sorting out any problems you may have with it?
That said, I'd like to think that they'd be a little embarrassed by this and would be up for a bit of discount for your troubles?
Good luck with your new bike. Looks like it'll be arriving too late for the summer though (that was earlier in the week ).

get a refund and move on. 2011 bikes (and even some 2012 bikes) will be getting very hard to find in certain sizes now - so you will be reliant on whatever is left in the supply chain.

Will give them a call in the morning as unfotunately they are closed today, i was only getting the defy as a short term bike then i'd get a carbon early next year and it is a great reviewed bike for longer rides. They told me on Tuesday they had the bike but as they are off today and if posted out tomorrow chances are delivery wouldn't be until next week. it just keeps going on and on.

There's nothing wrong with your choice of bikes. The service you're recieving is what would worry me. Concidering their lack of success so far I don't think it would be too much to ask for them to have despatched the bike on Tuesday by next day delivery or even for them to come in briefly today to do the job.
In todays highly competative market there's often very little to choose between companies when you look at price alone. What makes you stick with a particular company is the quality of service you (or others you read about) get from them. Companies that don't understand this and consistantly (there will always be the odd blip) attract negative feedback don't deserve your loyalty.

Yes, couldn't agree with you more Garry E. I don't understand why a specific date couldn't be given this week for delivery, considering they said they had the bike on Tuesday of this week. I did check out reviews on Ash Cycles before placing an order & all seemed fine, maybe my experience is "the odd blip" you mentioned. I don't think i'm getting a quality service and will act as deemed necessary in the morning.
Thanks for the comments

Guys, good things come to those that have the patience of a saint. I took delivery of my Defy 4 this morning, after e-mail last night stating i should expect delivery today. To be honest, the bike really was just about worth the wait. So wont be around for a while, be out making up for those lost miles. It was exactly 22 days after i first placed an order tho.

22 days? Count yourself lucky, I've been waiting months for the Cube I want to come into stock. The suppliers keep promising the LBS it's on the way but not delivering. Apparently they should arrive this week, but they've said that about three times!

Can only sympathise, i didn't expect a delay of any more than 7 days for my Defy to come in. Were you made aware that you should expect long delays when they took your order? I don't think its fair on the customer if they take your money then let you wait weeks, without telling you to expect this delay when they take the order.
Hope you get your bike soon.
