How long to find perfect bike?

Go for a hybrid with hydraulic brakes and rack mounts, a ridgeback flight or the boardman seem to be quite popular. A guy in work has a flight and they are quick and practical and look good to. Finding the right bike will depend on budget too and how much maintenance you are able to do yourself.
