How many bikes for the 4 seasons..?

I have three bikes, a proper deather MTB cobbled together from a Halfords four ton cheapy and a Falcon ali frame i found dumped in a ditch, also my Scott Speedster for winter and my Scott CR1 for summer

My winter wardrobe has 5 staples, that's my day to day Croix de Fer workhorse, a Thorn with studded tyres for when it's icy, the tandem for rides with the wife, an mtb for rides around the hills, and an old Raleigh Dynatech on the rollers.

I used my MTB when we last had snow, but at the time I barely had to commute a mile each way. I just stuck some super chunky knobbly tires on and all was good. The snow was fresh though so that probably helped.
