I could just about be persuaded of the benefits of a baseball hat on a sunny day (although I prefer the flat-top field cap style) but no way with any advertising or writing on it. .

It's as bad as people wearing team football, rugby or cycling kit when they're not in the team.

For me it's a practical thing. I'm semi bald, so I'm either freezing or getting a sun burned scalp. I'm not the sort of chap who would suit a bowler hat, so baseball cap it is.

I never wear anything with identifiable logos, trade names or artwork and I go for muted colours.
I tend to blend into the background.
Force of habit, I suppose.
