Congratulations - not a bad date for a brithday either!
Mrs G and I are both early 40's so I reckon have probably missed the boat by now. Don't know if fella's get the equivalent of what they call 'broody' but I certainly feel something like that these days - hard to describe really - but a kind sadness or some such that can be quite intense at times.

Not at all.
Had our second kid at the ages of 41 & 45.
My first child was born when I was 21.
And it seems to be sooo much easier at this age.

Our little nipper has bought us so much joy & happiness into our lives & our home and has made us feel so much younger.

My girl is nearly a year old and me and my wife are both 36yrs old, sometimes nature takes its sweet time doing something you spend most of your life trying to make sure it doesn't do! Eight years it took us to conceive and I've been very open about the whole process, I wish people would talk about fertility more freely. I went as far as to publish my fertility test in my zine (which won national zine of the that year!), although that might have been going too far - the launch day was at a small publishing festival and it was very odd having strangers buying my zine to see my results!

Took us 3 iui and 2 self funded ivf attempts and 8 years to get a bundle of joy, wife had chemo etc on her head years ago so it nuked her hormones.2nd child was a complete suprise, i mean why use contraception with our odds and 5 year later ..... now 44 with a 7 month old so i reckon by the time they leave school i can charge rent to top up the pension
