9th year of allotment gardening ...

Unfortunately, due to moving house, the allotment is now 7 km away from home, so can't just nip in on the way home from work to harvest
On the + side, this adds loads to my cycling mileage
Tomorrow the 1st rhubarb crumble of the season is on the menu

(I'm a bit further north than most of you)

jerusalem artichokes

sown indoors:
different pumpkin varieties,
summer squashes,
courgettes
marrows
pickling gherkins (haven't tried these before)
still to be sown/planted:
runner beans
climbing French beans
dwarf French beans (yellow & green)
beetroot
spinach
Swiss chard
rocket
peas
leeks
purple & white sprouting broccoli
spring cabbages
ice berg lettuce
cut & come again mixed lettuce
I am sure I've forgotten one or two ...
