Yep log onto the router with the admin (as you’ll be doing anyway to change the admin password), change the SSID to something meaningful (or hide it completely so only you know what to connect to), and then change the WiFi access password to the old one. Most things including my super secure work laptop are fine with it, Sky Q needs a bit of work and every now and again an Alexa has a hissy fit (but they do it all the time anyway)
Tried that about six months ago when our ISP supplied a new 'improved' router. Carefully matched the I.D and password but nothing was happy with the swap and all had to be logged on again from scratch. Don't ask me how but they knew :headshake:

Funnily enough I was on our router admin page just today - from memory there were 19 WiFi devices registered plus about 6 or 7 on Ethernet. Phones, tablets, laptops, consoles, TV boxes, security cameras, robovac, watch, smart speakers...

The gf plugged in the Roborock (vacuum cleaner) today and asked me to set it up. Is that wifi too? We'll see tomorrow.
