I never leave the house without some money, but how much?

Going back a few years, I aimed to have £50 or so.

Increasing acceptance of card payments for small purchases means I now carry less, but still like to have a note or two in my pocket.

How much cash do you usually carry?

None, unless I need a couple of quid to buy a coffee.

About a tenner and a bit of change usually, in the waterproof case that has some ID in it as well.

Around about a grand if it's been a busy day.
My own personal money..........usually around £30 along with a debit card.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I like to have at least £10.00 plus change. You never know when or where I will need it.

I tend to get £50 out when I go to a hole in the wall. But that can last me weeks. Went up to visit family last weekend and took £100 out for cash for nephews and neice and to spend in my brother's pub. Took another £100 the other day for granddaughters Christmas money tomorrow. And I'll get a little more out when we go away for a few days Boxing day. Only for cash in pubs etc.

Depends where I'm going or what I'm doing. I'll usually take out £50 on a trip to the ATM and carry that around but it could easily last over a week, depends on small corner shop buys and pub visits.
My card provider doesn't seem to have discovered contactless payments yet so if they ever do it would probably change how much I carry.

It used to be £50 to £120 ish....until I dropped my wallet at work and someone retrieved £120 out of it and dumped the wallet. Nowadays, maybe £50 ...I dont know wny, I tend to just accumulate a few excess quid here and there.
