Just bought this for £25 and it's good enough for the likes of me:

Same one I have, it's quite bulky though.

Paid about £60.00 for my MET Inferno UL like this,...... and it matches my bike ^_^

(Used to wear a Bell, but it made my head look like a mushroom )

I put down £10 which was AFAIR more than I paid for my Lidl Lid. Given that none is going to offer decent protection why spend more than the minimum? I only have it in case I go to Spain so I can legally ride with it dangling from my bars.

More interesting is how much would I, and others, need to be paid to wear one in blighty?

If they had the efficacy claimed by some than the NHS would be justified in stumping cash up front to avoid treatment costs later. They do it for smoking. But then smoking has a strong epidemiological justification for funding preventative care ...

They all protect pretty much the same.
Probably true...

I've got 2 Giro Atmoses, which only get worn when when rules demand it. Both were free and I doubt I'd ever spend anything on one.

Bought an orange Muddy Fox from Sports Direct originally priced at £39.99 reduced 50% to £19.99 with a £10 gift card I paid £9.99 “tidy"
