How much would you pay for a helmet

Well timed thread, my current helmet is a Bell and after 2000 miles the strap mounts are coming away from the inside of the shell so I'm looking around for a replacement.

This is my current lid. I paid about £135 a few months ago and I absolutely love it

and yes it matches my bike, right down to being matt black

That looks nice, I didn't realise that Morrisons did bike helmets...

I put down £10 which was AFAIR more than I paid for my Lidl Lid. Given that none is going to offer decent protection why spend more than the minimum? I only have it in case I go to Spain so I can legally ride with it dangling from my bars.

More interesting is how much would I, and others, need to be paid to wear one in blighty?

If they had the efficacy claimed by some than the NHS would be justified in stumping cash up front to avoid treatment costs later. They do it for smoking. But then smoking has a strong epidemiological justification for funding preventative care ...

I've got 2 Giro Atmoses, which only get worn when when rules demand it. Both were free and I doubt I'd ever spend anything on one.
