I've noticed that but they only cost Lp's at the mint rate though - usually the vinyl's f#cked though, to use an industry standard term!

I think most of the big ones check the price on vinyl nowadays, so unless you're stacking up on Herb Albert and Top Of The Pops LPs you might be paying more than 50p each.
The last time I seriously patrolled charity shops for vinyl was about 10yrs ago and although I found plenty of oddities and great records, I never remember finding anything that turned out to have any serious value even then - I got the feeling the golden age of charity shop bargins was already long gone back then.
Think the best find I ever had in a charity shop was 2 pairs of Doc Martin shoes in my size for a fiver each, tastefully worn but in good nick. Don't think I ever found any vinyl that turned out to be worth more than a tenner.
