How my day was spoilt

You strike up a conversation with a chap to whom you haven't been introduced...

You presume to comment on his bicycle... in a tone that may well have sounded slightly sarcastic...

And he is the malefactor?

My dear chap, this is a hole you dug yourself. If you have any issues with my post, please refer back to the comment I made when you sprinted past me in your fancy lycra... The go **** yourself.

Did you speak a fraction of a second before you came alongside him, and so visible in his peripheral vision? I have a local rider, faster than me who does this in a very loud voice with 'GOOD MORNING!' right in my ear every blasted time he passes me. If I'm day dreaming he fair shocks me as he does this. I haven't said it yet, but one day that rude grumpy rider will be me.

If I see him coming in my mirror I'm ready for this and not shocked, and I always speak to other riders but not like this clown!

With reference to the last three posters, I am certain that I did not startle the gent, in fact I took care to avoid doing that. At the time neither of us were travelling at any great speed having just negotiated a roundabout and as I drew alongside him I was well over 6 ft away and only spoke in a conversational tone. As for Lycra, I don't wear it. Anyway, the incident is closed now as far as I am concerned so can I wish you all the compliments of the season.
