I'm a bit reactionary  In winter I'll clean the bike after nearly every ride but in summer less so, it could be once every couple or weeks or if I have an event to prepare for

I bought mine for the minimum maintenance aspect, nearly a year old and never seen a sponge!. No lubing chains with the carbon belt either..

Not so much in summer, but since i discovered washing the bike off in the bath/shower i wash it if it gets wet, which happens quite a lot in our summers. You get the odd oil mark, but a bit of washing up liquid will get rid of that.

Summer bike lovingly hosed down, hot water wash, no detergent, leather to dry and polished weekly

Winter bike hosed down after every ride to shift salt and debris, hot wash with detergent, dried and polished every 2-3 weeks.

Clean bikes ride better and last much longer.
